about

Everything from the day I loaded up GarageBand to the day before Dasan III released is included here, re-released for my Bandcamp fans new and old.

It's split into four disks; tracks 1-11 are Purified, tracks 12-21 are Proceduralism, tracks 22 and 23 are To Honor Tradition, and tracks 24, 25, and 26 are a few pieces I had lying around without a home.

Purified "uses sick beats, deep piano solos, and cutting-edge procedural elements to provide a metaphorical story of a soda can. Its components, its course, its death and eventual resolution. The album seeks to express mankind's deep-running enigma; can we break a pattern?" It was my first album, made almost entirely on iOS GarageBand with Live Loops and free time.

Proceduralism is an assortment of pieces made by a neural network. The only human intervention in was my selecting of instruments and control of generation settings.

To Honor Tradition "pays homage to the past by creating the future in hit single "To Honor Tradition", often referred to as "bloody amazing", "damn good", and "no you can't have a quote from me"." Both tracks were made on iOS GarageBand with Live Loops.

The last three tracks are a couple Variants of prog songs I found inspirational. They're made in Logic X based of MIDIs of the original tracks with some tweaks. The last track is the original mix of That Sparkling Taste, the first track I ever made.

Thanks for listening! See you in the next one!
-Elias

Most of these tracks have since been lost, which is why this is compiled from a mishmash of rips and recoveries and is NOT lossless. Again, this isn't full quality. That's also why this is free with no option to pay, although if this collection fills you with the uncontrollable desire to pay me, Dasan III and Moment Too Soon are great options.

about

Dr. Dasan Anchorage, Alaska

I'm an ASU Med Studies student from Alaska who loves to make music. Dr Dasan is my artisan, free-range, organic, vegan- friendly music project. Inspired by various sounds I've stumbled up, some coherent and some not, I use this name to release my more experimental stuff. For my more serious, mature, and long-term project, check out Skylight Syndrome. Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the tunes.
